DiNapoli Says Overall Sales Tax Collections Are Up

State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli’s office released sales tax collection figures for 2019 and while his office announced overall growth was relatively strong it was a mixed bag for Otsego, Chenango and Delaware Counties. Collections in Otsego County were 3.5% higher last year while in Chenango County collections were up nearly 2% with much of that due to a nearly 8.5% increase in City of Norwich revenue. Delaware County showed a decline of just over 2%.
