U.S. Representative Antonio Delgado (NY-19) spoke with Hartwick College nursing students, faculty, and staff this week. Nearly 100 students attended the virtual conversation and asked the Congressman questions about rural health care access, legislative priorities, congressional scheduling, and how they can be involved in change.

“New York's 19th congressional district is lucky to host the bright minds of Hartwick College,” said Rep. Antonio Delgado. “In 2019, I toured Hartwick College and listened to students explain why they chose a path of service -- the COVID-19 pandemic has only strengthened that admirable resolve. I will continue fighting to secure the resources necessary to empower frontline workers, especially in rural areas. My bill, the Rural Revitalization Now Act, would retain students by providing student loan relief to those who work and serve our local communities. This would allow students to build lives and careers in rural areas, instead of moving to metropolitan areas because of burdensome student debt.”
