Delaware County Sex Offender Faces New Charges

A Delaware County sex offender is accused of failing to meet his registration requirements.

Sheriff’s officials say 34-year-old Lenard Cox of Masonville is charged with five felony counts of sex offender failure to report a change of address.

Cox was arrested October 8^th following a complaint filed by New York State Parole Officers.

Cox pleaded guilty to one count of attempted failure to register a change of address as required as a registered sex offender in New York State.  That charge is a misdemeanor.

Cox remains in the custody of the New York State Department of Corrections.
