
Delaware County Deputy Saves Drug OD Victim

Quick actions by a Delaware County Sheriff’s deputy helped save the life of a 27-year-old man suspected of overdosing on opiates. Sgt. Christopher Erwin responded to a home in Treadwell last Wednesday where the man was found having trouble breathing. Sgt. Erwin administered 2 doses of the the anti-opioid drug Narcan and the man regained consciousness. He refused further medical treatment and would not allow medics to take him to the hospital.
