Delaware And Otsego Counties Police Blotter: June 22 To June 30

All crimes described in police media releases are allegations. Named suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

66-year-old Dzemil M. Mujanovic was arrested by Delaware deputies on charges of criminal possession of weapons and criminal contempt. Mujanovic had seven long guns after a Family Court Order of Protection requiring him to surrender all long guns and handguns.

John C. Chapman, 36, was arrested on multiple charges by Otsego County deputies. Cops responded to a report of a physical domestic dispute in the Town of Burlington. Chapman is accused of harassment, criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child.

Michael A. Morton of Exeter was arrested on June 26th on multiple drug related charges. Otsego deputies responded  to a complaint of a suspicious person in the Town of Plainfield. Morton is accused of criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of a controlled substance not in original container.

Delaware County deputies arrested 52-year-old Sasha D. Catus of the Bronx for drunk driving. Catus was charged with driving while intoxicated, and given tickets for operating a vehicle while on the phone, not wearing a seatbelt and failure to keep right.

A New Jersey resident was arrested for drunk driving on June 22nd in the Town of Oneonta in a joint operation conducted by the Oneonta police department and the Otsego sheriff’s office.  22-year-old Shawn K. Chhatwal of Roselle Park, NJ was found in the Price Chopper parking lot in an intoxicated state while driving.

Otsego County deputies arrested Denise McGroder on charges of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, improper license plates and driving an unregistered vehicle. 51-year-old McGroder lives in New Berlin.
