The spirit of Cooperstown will be on full display this Saturday, December 3rd when the National Baseball Hall of Fame and museum visitors team up for a day of holiday fun with Deck the Hall.

The Hall of Fame will host its Holiday Celebration on Saturday, Dec. 3, with family-friendly activities throughout the day in the Museum. Beginning at 1 p.m., all visitors will be given access to the Museum free of charge in exchange for a donation of two non-perishable healthy food items or an unwrapped toy. All donations support Opportunities for Otsego and the Cooperstown Food Bank.

Events in the Museum on Saturday include:

  • 1 p.m. - Holiday Craft Area (Learning Center, 1st Floor).  Visit the holiday craft area in the Learning Center and make your own baseball-themed Christmas tree. Deck your tree out to celebrate your favorite team.
  • 2 p.m. – Holiday Performance: Pathfinder Village Bell Choir (Hall of Fame Plaque Gallery, 1st Floor). Head to the Hall of Fame Gallery for a holiday tradition at the National Baseball Hall of Fame: A special performance by the Pathfinder Village Bell Choir. Pathfinder Village is a community in Edmeston, N.Y., dedicated to serving individuals with Down syndrome.
  • 3 p.m. – Rockin’ Around Cooperstown Ugly Sweater Run/Walk (Front Steps, Hall of Fame).  On the front steps of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum cheer on runners and walkers as they kick off the start of a run through historic Cooperstown in their ugliest holiday sweaters. Sponsored by the Cooperstown Chamber of Commerce and the Clark Sports Center.
