Governor Andrew Cuomo is considering calling the state legislature back to Albany if the federal government does not quickly dispatch relief funds to the severely flooded parts of the state.

Cuomo is pushing for President Obama to declare flooded sites “disaster areas” “which would allow for emergency distribution of federal funds. Cuomo will present his case to the White House today and sees no reason why New York would be denied federal disaster  assistance.
