Cuomo: Gold Star Families Granted Free Tuition to SUNY Schools

Governor Andrew Cuomo orders New York’s Higher Education Services Corporation to grant free tuition at SUNY schools along with room and board to the families of New York military members who are killed or disabled while on duty. An existing ordinance allowed for free tuition for dependents of service members killed or disabled in combat or in training but this reinterpretation expands that to cover all military deaths or injuries.
