Cornell Cooperative Extension to Perform Silage and Dry Matter Checks

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Delaware County is conducting their annual corn silage dry matter checks.

Bring five or six representative corn stalks from fields you want to have checked. For Friday, you can bring your corn stalks to the Ernie and Barb Hanselman farm on County Route 18 between Bloomville and South Kortright.

Stalks may also be 9 a.m.-1p.m. on on Wednesday at the Franklin Town Barn on the corner of State Route 357 and County Route 21.

If farmers cannot make today or next Wednesday, you may arrange to bring samples to the Watershed Agricultural Program office in Walton to be processed on another day.
