The Fenimore Quilt Club and the Cooperstown Art Association proudly present the Cooperstown Quilt Show 2015 Viewer's Choice Award.  The CAA estimates that despite inclement weather and difficult access to the building, well over 1,000 quilt lovers attended this year’s show and helped raise over one thousand dollars for the Cooperstown Food Pantry.

The 25th Annual Quilt Show was a true testament to the beauty colorful fabrics can create when they are pieced and displayed together, and included participants from far and wide.  Out of approximately 100 quilted pieces in the show, which included full size quilts, wall hangings, and baby quilts, the Viewer’s Choice was “Sampler” by Lucy Kise of Laurens , NY.   Lucy always wanted to do a sampler.  She did this quilt in stages by cutting out a few blocks and then sewing them together until it was complete.  Congratulations Lucy!

Dawn Helstrom of Morris , NY was the lucky winner of the 2015 Raffle Quilt made by members of the Fenimore Quilt Club.  Patterns of jewel tones were featured in this quilt of geometric piecing.

The Fenimore Quilt Club would like to thank the twenty-three communities that shared their creations with the public for two and a half weeks.  For questions or more information, please call (607) 547-9777 or go to our website at www.cooperstownart.com.
