According to AllOTSEGO, last night at a Cooperstown Village Board public hearing which only allowed 21 people to attend to maintain social distancing, a law requiring everyone to wear a mask on Main Street sidewalks between Fair Street and Pine Boulevard, and on Pioneer Street from Lake to Church streets was passed.

Most at the hearing were in support of the new law but a few considered it a move by the board that would deter village visitors. With that said, the mask requirement received much more support in correspondence (emails or letters) than opposition.
