Commerce Chenango Reschedules Golf Tournament

Heavy rains last Friday caused the annual Commerce Chenango Golf Tournament to be postponed. Chamber event planner Jill Eddy says they have come up with a new date for the event.

“We have rescheduled it at Genegantslet Golf Course June 27, it is a Thursday, and we are still taking teams so if you weren’t able to play last Friday but you can on the 27th, please give me a call we’d love to have you,” Eddy said. “We have a shotgun start at 11, 10 until 11 we have a little barbeque and registration and buy all your skins and your mulligans and all that fun stuff and then we end with a steak dinner at 4 o’clock. Unfortunately it is open to chamber members only.”

The golf tournament serves as just one of the summer activities Commerce Chenango has planned. Tuesday June 18 the organization will hold a business after hours at Frontier in Norwich. A barbeque in the parking lot will show appreciation to chamber members. This event is set for 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. To make a reservation, call Jill at 334-1402.
