Colgate Basketball Delayed 90 Minutes Due to Shattered Backboard
Last night's Colgate men's basketball game against Lehigh was delayed by 90 minutes because one of the court's basketball backboards was shattered by a powerful dunk during pregame warmups.
The scheduled tip off was 7:05, but the game didn't commence until 8:46. In most of the larger basketball venues, a replacement backboard is usually just rolled out. A new one was in place in Hamilton by 8:45 so the game at Colgate could continue.
Colgate defeated the Lehigh Mountain Hawks 70-67.
