Charges are being brought against the driver who crashed his car in the town of Pittsfield on July 15, killing two of his passengers whose names have now been released. According to New York State Police, 21-year-old Tehya E. Gonzalez of Bainbridge and 21-year-old Cheyenn J. Aubry of Treadwell died when the 26-year-old unnamed male driver went off County Road 13. The driver was taken to Bassett Hospital for evaluation and police say his name will be released once officially charged.

New York State Police Troop C is reporting a deadly accident in the Town of Pittsfield late last night, just around midnight. Police responded to a 911 call reporting that a vehicle went off the road near the 110 block of County Route 13.

Of the three people in the vehicle, the two passengers will killed in the crash and the driver was taken to Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown. Police have not released any information on the status of the driver.

The investigation is ongoing with more information to be released later.
