Remember the adage "Spring forward, Fall back"?  That of course refers to the two time changes each year when we either turn our clocks forward or back to adjust to either Standard time or Daylight Savings Time.

Get ready because you'll lose an hour of sleep this Saturday night but the good news is, Daylight Savings Time is arriving overnight Saturday night (officially Sunday) and that means more daylight at the end of each day after that with Spring will be arriving soon! I recommend focusing on the added daylight at the end of the day instead of the fact that you'll be losing an hour.

It all officially takes place this Sunday, March 13th at 2:00 am when clocks get turned to 3 a.m.  All you have to do is remember to set your clock forward an hour before you go to bed Saturday night.

Now the only question is, how many clocks do you have reset? In my house, I have to reset clocks on the stove, microwave, coffeemaker, one wall clock, a bedroom alarm clock, one tabletop clock, and let's not forget about vehicles. Not too bad, right? All the other clocks in my house like the DVR, computers, and phones reset themselves.

One other thing to remember, don't forget, for safety's sake, to change the batteries on your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors according to The National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA). It's an easier thing to remember to do when you do it in conjunction with the two time changes each year.
