Burlington Traffic Stop Results in Gun Charge

A traffic stop in Burlington results in a driver taken into custody on a firearms charge. Police say they pulled over Michael Alfaro who is from Sherrills Ford, N.C. after observing him make a vehicle and traffic infraction on County Road 80. During the investigation the trooper located a gun and a magazine with ammunition and neither Alfaro or his passenger possessed a pistol permit in New York. Alfaro was released pending a March 2 date in Burlington court. The passenger was not charged.
