Opportunities for Chenango Awarded $112,500 Housing Grant

A Chenango County organization receives a federal grant to support efforts to expand affordable housing opportunities and build strong neighborhoods. Opportunities for Chenango, Inc received $112,500 from NeighborWorks America as a part of $3.2 million awarded to organizations across Western New York. NeighborWorks America was established by Congress in 1978 and includes a network of more than 250 organizations nationwide. Grants are often used as a “first in” or “last in” source of investment, allowing organizations to leverage the grants for additional funding.
