Bovina Man Facing 50 Charges For Stolen Checks

An investigation into a Bovina residential theft results in a 21-year-old man facing over 50 charges. Police say Sean Gillespie of Bovina stole checks from the home in August and cashed 18 of them at two Delaware National Bank branches totaling nearly $4,000. Gillespie was taken into custody last Tuesday and faces one felony grand larceny charge along with a total of 51 charges for the 18 forged checks. He was released on his own recognizance.
