Saturday, Neahwa Park in Oneonta was alive with rainbows for "Oneonta Pridefest 2019".  Despite a weather forecast that was not very promising, the shone down on the crowd that turned out to celebrate and support the LGBTQIA+ community.

Oneonta Pridefest 2019 marked the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising which took place on June 28, 1969. The Stonewall Uprising lead to the birth of the modern LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Intersex, Asexual, Plus) rights movement.

If you couldn't make it, there are numerous videos available to view on the Otsego Pride Alliance facebook page.  This event was organized by Otsego Pride Alliance, an organization to support and meet the needs for the LGBTQ+ community in the Otsego county region and beyond.
