Benson Agency Real Estate ‘House of the Week’ Show
In case you missed it, we began a new segment on Big Chuck's Morning Marathon today. On the third Tuesday of every month, representatives of the Benson Real Estate Agency in Oneonta will stop by my show for a fifteen minute segment all about real estate. What is hot and what is not, new real estate trends, the latest in real estate consumer news, and more. And one of the fun things about this show is that we will also feature a house listing from their Benson catalog of area properties for sale.
Today, Betsy Shultis and Becky Thomas came in for the debut show. We learned a lot and we had a few laughs along the way. These two are real pros. Interesting that when I asked what most new home buyers who are coming from out of the area are asking for most? "Internet," both Becky and Betsy said in unison. People want to live in our beautiful rural areas but they also want to be able to have good internet access so they can work from home. We suggested that universal broadband in rural areas is probably going to be a top priority for the government as more and more people leave the major urban areas and move into smaller rural regions (like ours).
For the House of the Week, well, these two ladies brought us a jaw-dropper. Wow. It is in New Lisbon, and is a large historic 1880s farmhouse with plenty of room for a large family or B&B. How large? Well, think six bedrooms, an indoor pool and a newly renovated kitchen with three ovens. I guess you can never have enough ovens. LOL.
It is a beauty. And it has a cedar closet. I really had never known what the purpose of a cedar closet is, but I was schooled by these two professionals, and, well, now I know. And frankly, I don't know how I have lived this long without one. We had a lot of laughs on that topic.
So join us next month on the third Tuesday of May for the "Benson Real Estate House of the Month Show with Big Chuck." And CLICK HERE to see the listing, price, location and gorgeous photos of our spotlighted house from this mornings show.
