Singer Lesley Gore was just a junior in a New Jersey high school when she recorded "It's My Party." The song would change her life.
At just 16 yeas old she found herself with a worldwide #1 record which sold over a million singles. It was nominated for a Grammy Award for Song of the Year.
Lesley Gore all of a sudden was the hottest thing in music. She recorded several more hits before her career cooled off. Among these hits are "She's A Fool," "Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows," "You Don't Know Me," "She's A Fool," "Look of Love," and "Maybe I Know."
