Attorney General, Gun Show Operators Strengthen Procedures

Following an undercover operation by the attorney general’s office, agreements have been made with two major gun show operators to implement new procedures at gun shows across the state.

As part of the agreement, the two gun show operators established procedures that go beyond the state's gun show law.

A.G. Eric Schniederman says there is a gun violence epidemic, and his office is working with gun show operators to ensure guns do not fall into the hands of felons, terrorists, the dangerously mentally ill, and others that could not pass a background check.
