The governor’s office reports data has shown that restaurants can operate safely and in accordance with strict health protocols. Currently restaurants are limited to 50% occupancy. Masking and social distancing requirements remain unchanged. The new rule applies to restaurants outside of New York City where capacity will continue to be capped at 35%.
