Applications Now Open For 2021 Otsego Community Grants

There is a wonderful opportunity for grant money that is opening up soon.  Successful applicants can win a share of a potential $50,000 for their group.  These funds will go to successful applicants to help fund and support organizations and community events that are specific to Otsego County only.

Otsego County is resuming its Community Events Grant program where applicants can win a share of up to $50,000 in event funding. Organization sponsors and events must be held in Otsego County and there are restrictions on what the money can be used for. The application needs to include an explanation of the event and how it will draw visitors to the area. Application deadline is April 30 and full details are at otsegocounty.com.

Some of the guiding criteria for receiving these grants include:the organization sponsor and the event must be located in Otsego County.  Event grants are NOT available for the following:  capital expenditures, promotional items that are intended for resale, any travel and food expenses, conference or education costs, or staff and operating expenses of facilities or organization sponsors.

The timing for these applications set the deadline date of April 30, 2021.  Applications will be revived up until 11:59 p.m. on that date.  Applications are to be sent to the Otsego County Board (IGA Committee).
