Prostitution Alleged at House Next to Vestal Church
Three women and two men face charges after Vestal police investigated alleged prostitution next door to a church.
Authorities say the arrests were made following the execution of a search warrant at 821 Main Street, a house neighboring Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church.
The investigation began several days earlier in response to reports of drug use and organized prostitution at the residence.
Vestal police personnel were assisted by the state police Special Investigations Unit in seizing heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia from the home.
Police say 23-year-old David Decker, who lives at the Main Street residence, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, promoting prostitution and criminal nuisance.
31-year-old Stacy Smith, who also resides at the house, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, promoting prostitution, prostitution and loitering.
50-year-old Kimberly Notobartolo of 821 Main Street was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, loitering and prostitution.
The two other suspects, 26-year-old Brett Nemcek of Endwell and 26-year-old Brooke Miller of Conklin, were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and loitering.
All five of those arrested were arraigned in Vestal town court and sent to Broome County Jail.
