A College-high one-hundred four Hartwick Hawks are among a league record 1,040 student-athletes from the Empire 8 Conference membership recognized on the Spring 2020 President’s List.

Recipients of this honor must earn a 3.75 grade-point average or higher during the semester, while participating in an NCAA-sponsored sport. In addition, the student-athlete must display positive conduct on and off campus and be enrolled full-time at the member institution.

The Empire 8’s eight full-time conference members sponsored a record number of 3,232 student-athletes who combined for a conference-wide spring grade point average of 3.41, shattering the previous mark of 3.24.

Additionally, a record 147 teams were acknowledged as Empire 8 Conference All-Academic Teams for registering a team grade point average of 3.2 or higher for the spring semester.

A College-record 18 Hartwick athletic teams were honored as Empire 8 All-Academic Teams. The Hawks’ women’s lacrosse team topped the list with a team grade-point average of an impressive 3.76.

Hartwick’s women’s cross country (3.69), men’s cross country (3.66), men’s indoor track and field (3.66), men’s outdoor track and field (3.64), women’s outdoor track and field (3.64), women’s soccer (3.63), women’s basketball (3.58), men’s soccer (3.49), field hockey (3.47), women’s indoor track and field (3.47), volleyball (3.43), men’s basketball (3.41), men’s swimming and diving (3.38), men’s lacrosse (3.37), women’s swimming and diving (3.34), women’s tennis (3.32), and equestrian (3.28) teams were the 17 others recognized as an All-Academic Teams.
