Join us each Saturday at 7:00 am for our community affairs program "This Week in Central New York."  It airs on all 11 of our Townsquare Media stations.

On this week's show (March 7):

Big Chuck talks with longtime humane society volunteer Barbara Kaplan.  The Heart of the Catskills Humane Society will hold its 20th annual "Paws for a Cause" rummage sale and bake sale on Saturday, March 14 from 8:30 am to 1 pm, at the United Ministry Church Hall on Court House Square in Delhi. Donations for the sale may be dropped off at the church hall, in the basement, Wednesday and Thursday, March 11 and 12, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Donations should be clean and in working order; donations of clothing, TVs or computers will not be accepted this year. Volunteer bakers may drop off donated baked goods on Friday, March 13 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., or on Saturday morning. All proceeds from the rummage and bake sale benefit the homeless animals of Delaware County. For additional information or to volunteer, contact Barbara Kaplan at (607) 437-1895.

Next, Leslie Ann visits with Rene Stratton from the Delaware County Public Health Office.  Rene tells us that the Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs program is sponsoring a free weekend event at the Catskill Rec Center.

Big Chuck wraps up the show by welcoming back Maciej Zoltowski to the show.  Maciej is the winner of the competition to see who would succeed Charles Schneider as conductor of the Catskill Symphony Orchestra.  His first concert for the public is at the CSO Gala on March 14.

Join us every Saturday morning for this show.
