A Home Run for Oneonta Dining on Main Street
UPDATE: Don't miss upcoming themes during this Main St. event. On August 22, we celebrate the 1960's and on August 29, it's the 1970's. Feel free to get into the spirit by dressing the part!
Dining on Main Street, an initiative forth by the City of Oneonta Survive Then Thrive Task Force to give downtown businesses a boost, kicked off this past Saturday on Main St. A sunny, summer day brought many out to enjoy a safe dining and shopping experience.
This was just the first of many "Dining on Main Street" events to come in the next several consecutive Saturdays (weather permitting). City Councilman Mark Drnek told us that each Saturday, there will a theme and will get better and better.
This Saturday's theme is the "roaring 20's" so feel free to come to downtown and enjoy a wonderful meal from one of Oneonta's fine restaurants. Don't forget that Oneonta's Main Street will be closed from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm with outdoor dining, shopping outside with merchants and the Oneonta Farmers' Market, plus music during dinner hours.
Keep and eye on the Destination Oneonta facebook page this week for further details about this Saturday's event.
