$3-Million Allocated For Mobile Opiod Treatments
New York allocates over $3 million to expand mobile treatment and telepractice services for addiction. The money which comes from the federal State Opioid Response Grant will go to improve services in underserved areas of the state. Three years ago New York started the Center of Treatment Innovation as a way to break down existing barriers to treatment by connecting people to services closer to home. Officials say counties using the Center’s resources significantly reduced opioid-related overdose deaths.
