2020 Susquehanna Balloon Festival Now Grounded

Another local event is cancelled due to safety concerns over the COVID-19 crisis: the 2020 Susquehanna Balloon Festival, a fun, annual event held in Oneonta's Neahwa Park thanks to the collaboration of Mike Ranieri & BalloonNY and Destination Oneonta.

Yesterday a statement was made on the Susquehanna Balloon Festival facebook page about this year's event:

"After careful consideration regarding the health and safety of everyone in our community, the Destination Oneonta Board has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Susquehanna Balloon Festival. Following New York State's current guidelines, we feel this is the best way to proceed during such an uncertain time. We are very disappointed that we are unable to have the event for our community and supporters but we know that it is the right decision to make based on the information and guidance we have as of today. We look forward to a very successful 2021 Susquehanna Balloon Festival and wish you all a safe and healthy summer."
