Last week, Sidney Police Department responded to a report of a disturbance at a business in the Village, which lead to the arrest of two men on drug charges. Originally, officers contacted Michael J. Ide received appearance tickets and was turned over to Oneonta PD on the arrest warrant. In the process of investigating Mr. Ide, a NY State Police canine unit alerted to a vehicle involved in the investigation and officers discovered several separately packaged quantities of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, packaging material, a 30-06 caliber rifle and assorted ammunition.
