ArtPlace, a collaboration of 13 leading national and regional foundations, has selected SUNY Oneonta’s Cooperstown Graduate Program as a finalist for its 2013 round of funding.

The CGP’s project, “Landscape as Backdrop: A Rural Arts Collaboration,” was selected from more than 1,200 letters of inquiry to submit full grant proposals.

This year’s grant recipients will be announced in May. To date, ArtPlace has distributed $26.9 million to 76 organizations in 46 communities across the country.

The Cooperstown Graduate Program is the premier program for the training of museum professionals in the United States. One of only two programs in the country located on a museum campus rather than a university campus, CGP offers students the opportunity to interact regularly with museum professional staff, with objects and with exhibitions.
