On Saturday the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office and State Police escorted runners in the annual New York “Run for the Fallen” on NYS Rte 20. The run spans more than 170 miles and honors New York military service members who died as a result of serving the War on Terror. Four to six people are running at a time with a police escort and other vehicles. Runners made their way to Albany for a memorial service Sunday at LaFayette Park near the Capitol.
