New York is the fifth-most expensive state for monthly cost of utilities according to a new study from relocation website move.org. The study took into account the costs for electricity, natural gas, internet service, television service such as cable or satellite and water service. New York’s cost was just over $477 a month. The most expensive was Hawaii followed by Alaska. Rhode Island was third followed by Connecticut. Idaho was the least expensive state.
