Man Wanted in Delaware County Found in Illinois

A man wanted in a Delaware County accident who fled to Illinois appeared in court on Thursday. Police say Shawn Maynard of Randolph, NY was at the wheel when the 2015 crash occurred on State Highway 30 in the town of Colchester resulting in Maynard’s passenger suffering serious injuries. Maynard was arrested last month in Champaign County, Ill., on an unrelated matter but a check of his records showed the active warrant out of Delaware County. Maynard remains in jail pending further court proceedings.
