Laurens Central School won a $15,000 prize for a video the students produced warning other teens about the dangers of distracted driving.

The money comes from New York Central Mutual Insurance for the statewide contest to help convince teenagers about dangers of distracted driving.

The entry was one of three winners selected from 50 entries. According to a study, 48 percent of teens say they have been in a car with a driver who was texting.
