Gun rights advocates will be at the state capital today to call on law enforcement officials to disobey portions of New York’s gun-control law.

Police, county clerks and mental health professionals have raised concerns over the NY SAFE Act, which was adopted in January, contending that the law is unconstitutional and hard to enforce.

Gun rights advocates and state lawmakers are planning to submit more than 100,000 petitions to the governor’s office in opposition to the gun control law.
