Five people were injured Thursday in a two-car crash on County Highway 21 in Walton. Police say it happened near the intersection of Russell Road when Jeremy Shaw of Walton crossed into oncoming traffic hitting the other vehicle head-on. Shaw was airlifted to Albany Medical Center after being extricated from his vehicle. All four occupants of the vehicle Shaw hit were taken to Delaware Valley Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The accident remains under investigation and completion of blood testing is pending.

County Highway 21 was closed to traffic due to the vehicles blocking the roadway and was re-opened at approximately 9:00 p.m. upon completion of the accident investigation.
