New Yorkers can find out if they are owed some of the state's $12 billion in unclaimed funds at events across the state in May.

State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli says New York has $12 billion in unclaimed fund accounts and this money will be returned to its rightful owners.

In the Oneonta area, DiNapoli's reps will be at the General Clinton Canoe Regatta in Bainbridge from May 24-26.

New Yorkers may also check for unclaimed funds online at osc.state.ny.us.
