Governor Andrew Cuomo said in a radio interview Tuesday that he would rather find state funds with less spending restrictions to hlep those affected by the flooding in the Mohawk Valley rather than call the legislature back in session.

The governor estimated the total cost of aid to 1,200 people to be around $10 million, which is a small part of the state’s $132 billion budget.
