Big Chuck Retro Review: “Wait Until Dark” (1967)

Was this the scariest movie of 1967?  Maybe.

Audrey Hepburn plays a blind woman who is hunted down by a creepy bunch of drug dealers.  Trapped in her apartment, probably the safest place for a blind person to be, she wages a battle royal against the intruders in one of the most suspenseful sequences ever filmed.  I think this is one of her best movies and Richard Crenna, Jack Weston and a young Alan Arkin sure make slimy bad guys.

The American Film Institute named it one of the Top 100 best thrillers of all time.
