They were all required.  That still doesn't mean we liked them, though.

Required reading lists are something that stick with us throughout our lives.  They were either a very good thing, or a very, very bad thing.  For me, it was torture to read in school.  I just couldn't find my niche.  Some of the required reading I was given in school was impossible for me.  My Antonia by Willa Cather.  I think I got to page four.

Some ended up being great and really clicked with my interests, books like Red Badge of Courage or even Moby Dick.  My favorite was Kon Tiki.  That one really took me on an adventure in my mind.
