Domino, a female black pug was lost Sunday morning from River St. in Oneonta, but was found by Joseph Donovan all the way on Chestnut St. and reunited with her family this morning. We get many missing animal reports here at the station, and we are so glad that Joseph Donovan heard us talking about Domino and came in to tell us he had her.  What a great guy!  You can imagine how happy Domino's family is.

You don't like to think that this could happen to you, but you may need to be prepared for that one day. The best way to prepare is to give your beloved pet the proper identification. Getting a collar with a name tag gives your animal the best chance of getting back home.

If you lose at pet the first thing to do is contact your local animal shelters, animal control officers, and veterinarians. Get the word out there by telling everyone you know including friends and neighbors, and it's always a good idea to hang posters in the neighborhood. After you have notified all parties search the area and enlist others to help you. Don't lose hope and keep looking!
