A Waverly woman is under arrest for the murder of her husband.

Village Police say 30-year-old Devan Henson was arrested at 6 a.m. Sunday, February 27 and charged with second degree murder.

Police say 35-year-old Christopher Henson was killed in the early morning hours of Saturday, February 26 at the couple's home at 507 Fulton Street.

Authorities say Devan Henson is accused of hitting her husband around the head, face and neck area with a knife.

Village Police, the New York State Police Major Crimes Unit, State Police in Owego and the Tioga County District Attorney's office are conducting the investigation, which is continuing.

Devan Henson is being held by authorities as she awaits further legal action.
