The City of Oneonta will have two more new police officers soon.

The Common Council approved the hiring of two officers last night during its meeting last night. They will start on March 17th after training and details are taken care of.

The council also approved an agreement with the local Civil Service Employees Association that gives staff a 2% pay increase for each of the next 4 years and adjusts city employees payment for health insurance.

There are about 50 people working for the city.
