Broome County Sheriff David Harder is revealing more information about the murders of a man and woman in the Town of Binghamton March 22nd.

Sheriff Harder says 35 year old Christina Powell was found strangled to death in her Lisi Lane home while 24 year old Mario Maciarelli of binghamton appears to have suffered head injuries from a blunt object. A forensic examination is being done in Syracuse.

Harder says authorities are looking for Powell's estranged husband as a person of interest in the investigation. 39 year old Aaron Powell stands 6', 2" tall, weighs 200 pounds, has brown eyes and is bald.

Authorities say he had previously been arrested for violating an order of protection involving a friend of his estranged wife. There are no records on file of any domestic incidents involving Aaron and Christina Powell.

The Sheriff says Aaron may be driving a black, 2007, GMC Denali SUV with New York registration GDU-3346. The vehicle has no front license plate.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at (607) 778-1911 or the tip line at (607) 778-1196.
