An audit of the Town of Andes by State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli’s office finds a Town Board member had what was described as a prohibited interest in contracts between the town and his machining company. The audit also found inadequate controls were in place for funds disbursement along with limited oversight of the town clerk’s handling of fee collection and cash receipts. Supervisor Wayland Gladstone says the town will implement changes immediately.
