The U.S. Department of Labor on Monday awarded approximately $64.3 million to 38 states, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and the District of Columbia to implement or continue re-employment and eligibility assessments for individuals who receive unemployment insurance benefits.
This includes a total of over $11 million to New York.
The State Labor Department recently released local area unemployment rates for September, which are developed using a procedure determined by the U.S. Department of Labor.
