Generation Opportunity, a national, non-partisan organization advocating for ages 18-29 has announced its unemployment numbers for December, specific to ages 18-29.
The U.S. Labor Department released job hiring figures for December on Friday, stating that the nation added 155,000 jobs in the final month of 2012.
Unemployment, however, remained steady at 7.8 percent nationally.
The State Labor Department has released local area unemployment rates for November 2012.
Compared to November 2011 Otsego County stayed the same in November 2012 at 7.3 percent. Chenango County also stayed flat, posting a 7.9 percent unemployment rate last month.
