With the emerald ash borer getting closer to Chenango County, concern over the damages it will cause to landowners, residents and county municipalities is growing.
US Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is calling for more money to help research, control, and get rid of the emerald ash borer. The bug is responsible for threatening 900-million ash trees in the state. Gillibrand is a member of the Senate Agriculture, Nutrician, and Forestry Committee.
